Today is a slow day. With a repetition of yesterday events, time seems to crawl by. With an overseas immersion experience lecture by one of the lecturer, I finally understood why the people were sleeping on the road as that time is their sleeping or resting hour. They rush to complete their lunch as their cafeteria opens at regular timings. The stalls close when they reached a certain time, like when the lunch time is over and they will simply rest until the next meal time, like dinner. The stall tenders also seem to sell a limited amount of food as the food sold out when they finish selling. Lesson learnt: hurry up to eat before the food is gone!
After school, Meiling, Yvette and me headed out to eat dinner after we went to wash our clothes. It was considered as an “independence day” for us as we walked on our own to get dinner. It was a very warm dinner as we went to drink soup at an eatery. It reminds us of home as the soup seems so much like the soup our mother made. We bought breakfast at a bakery and headed back to the dorm to rest.
Meiling is feeling under the weather today...hope she gets better tomorrow! Get well soon!!
