Eventually the flu bug caught on. Waking up to a headache in the morning pretty much dampens my day. A bath did not help to clear my head and in the end I end up going back to sleep. When I woke up, it was already lunch time. The pounding in my head killed any appetite I had and I end up staying in the dorm while Mei ling and Yvette went to have lunch. I ate some food that they bought for me and with Justin, the four of us started our PBL. When dinner time came, I felt a lot better and was only left with a stubborn cough that refuses to go away. So with the hope of being able to go out, I agreed to dinner and going to sing with them. We had a lot of fun as we heard each other sing and it was a great experience for me as I tried to boast my confidence and sing. Well we are not the only one who sings our hearts away. If only I knew then…
The next day was a torture!
With another head pounding experience, I awoke once again. Feeling extremely drained and even dizzier then yesterday, I was in no condition to head out for the excursion. So in the end, I had to stay in the dorm while my dorm mates packed and got ready to go. I was going to try and rest when I heard noises and to my ultimate surprise, my friends had stayed back to take care of me. I felt extremely guilty as I was beginning to be like a burden to them. Even though they had state that they did not mind, I still feel bad for causing my roommates to stay back with me. I rested the whole day and only feel better around dinner time. This was yet another boring and painful day for me.
But as night time came, I experienced something which had not occurred to us until that day.
BLACKOUT!
We were all in the midst of using the net when the blackout occurred. Like all girls alike, we were shocked by the sudden blackout and of course we SCREAMED. Other screams echoed ours and we hurried out of our doors and saw everyone rushing out with torchlight in hand. Guys also came upstairs and instead of being fearful, everyone was excited and the whole corridor became quite hectic as everyone was talking on top of their voices while some danced or sing. The light was soon back on and with that a peaceful day passed just like this.
Hope I feel a lot better tomorrow so that I will not have to miss the classes or activities again.
